Post S2. Ianto wakes up in an unfamiliar place, and discovers he’s missing four years of his life, wherein he was working for a secret organization called Torchwood. Basically, 2004!Ianto (pre-Canary Wharf) is dropped into his life in 2008, and has to cope with being someone he knows nothing about. A fascinating look at how much memories shape who we are as people. It’s also a tightly plotted, wonderfully characterized, and highly enjoyable read. Just a great story from beginning to end. Highly recommended.
