Thought Like Flames
This story takes place in Eclipse after the battle against the newborns. In my version, there was no pact with the wolves and therefore the Cullen’s found themselves at a disadvantage. When the dust settles we find that Edward and Alice were both destroyed in the battle. Bella’s psyche is destroyed by the death of Edward and her best friend. She flees Forks in an attempt to escape the memories it holds. Jasper is overwhelmed by grief at the loss of his mate. Convinced that there is nothing more to live for, Jasper leaves what’s left of his family and gives into his blood lust, draining human after human on his road to find answers. Along the way the two come together and… Well, I’ll figure it out from there.
